The Olympic Coordination Authority had a need to install the world’s most technologically advanced event management system in the recently built Sydney International Aquatics Centre (the venue for the 2000 Olympic Games). The Sydney International Aquatic Centre uses an Omega Timing system to time the swimming races, but required a sophisticated results processing package to process results, display information on the scoreboard, send results to the media, print reports and store data. Holman Engineering developed the Swimming 2000 software package to run under Windows NT and carry out the required functions. |
