For 20 years, Holman Engineering has manufactured and supplied precise clocks for use on the Sydney Trains rail network. The original design and manufacture was successfully carried out over a tight 3-month deadline to make sure they were available for the Sydney Olympics. Since then, a constant process of improvement and ongoing development has continued to make sure these clocks keep up with newly available technology.

Holman Engineering Precise Clocks are legally traceable time sources that synchronise with with CSIRO time servers to maintain accuracy. Remote monitoring software was provided to Sydney Trains to allow for remote status updates of all IP-based clocks on the train network. 

The modularity of the standard product line has led to a number of rapid and low cost developments for specialist applications, for example, the 50mm clock has been redesigned into a count up timer to record and display times for use at track and field events.
