Holman Engineering has developed a Parking Guidance system to advise drivers of the number of spaces available in each of the sections (or sub sections) of a car park. The Holman Engineering system calculates how many parking spaces are available by monitoring vehicle movements around the car-park using in ground loop technology.
The Holman system has achieved accuracy in monitoring vehicle movements of over 99%. The system efficiently directs traffic to the most readily accessible locations reducing emissions, and maximising utility of available parking lots. The Holman system provides information in real time to signs around the car-park and also to the customer's website.
The system consists of a central controller, Nodes, LED signs and in ground loops detectors. The data is collected using Holman Engineering's specifically developed Node points. These Nodes allow both the collection of data and the driving of the electronic signs. The system logs and stores data on a central database, either locally or cloud based, which allows in depth analysis.
