When the Queen’s Square Law Courts required an Electronic Court Listing System (ECLS), they wanted to engage a company that could not just supply a standard information system, but a company that could develop a complete system to import information, allow editing of the information, automatically create the final screens based on a changeable template, then automatically display the screens on each of the relevant levels. Holman Engineering was chosen as the successful company to carry out the development including the supply of 18 Commercial LCD screens.
The Electronic Court Listing System installed at the Queen’s Square Law Courts processes and displays information for the High Court, Federal Court and Supreme Courts. It receives information in various formats ranging from Word documents to XML and Text files. Once the ECLS imports the information into its internal database, the user can add, edit or delete information very easily. Once the users are happy to publish the data, they click on “Publish” and the ECLS system automatically creates powerpoint presentations for each of the displays. These powerpoint displays are then automatically distributed to each of the screens around the site. Each screen automatically runs the powerpoint presentation and the ECLS system keeps all screens synchronised to ensure each screen turns over the next page at the same time.
