Holman Engineering have designed a system of Precise Clocks for use on the railways. This system of clocks includes the displays (which come in two sizes 50mm & 100mm high characters), a Masterclock and a Time Synchronisation Module (TSM).

The Masterclock automatically synchronises with the Telstra Time (the only legally correct time source in Australia), which ensures that the clocks are displaying the accurate time. The Time Synchronisation Module allows the time to be distributed over an ethernet computer network. This ensures that Cityrail’s control systems and PC’s are all using the correct time.

The modularity of the standard product line has led to a number of rapid and low cost developments for specialist applications, for example, the 50mm clock has been redesigned into a count up timer to current record time display for use at track and field events.
