Many
of the automated car parking systems around Australia (and several systems
overseas), had the software, and hardware designed and manufactured by Holman
Engineering. This equipment includes pass card readers, space count systems,
buffer interface units, motorised reader interface units, and custom PC
software. This system of automating
car parks, is generally regarded as the most flexible and technologically
advanced system currently available. Some
of the better known sites where this equipment now operates are; The Domain Car
Park, Harris Street Car Park and the Sydney Opera House Car
Park. Below
is a photo of the foyer of the Sydney Opera House Car Park (Click on the photo

three networked PC's that control the car park, visible inside the cashiers
office. This system involved the complete automation of the car park, as well as
the ability to provide full accounting facilities. The
system allows customers to pre purchase tickets for car parking spaces reserved up to 2 years in advance. Below
is a photo of a pass card reader (Click on the photo to enlarge it). These readers, which can be seen in many car
parks in Australia and overseas, were designed and manufactured by Holman
Engineering. On the wall is a space count system which was also developed and manufactured by Holman Engineering. Download a brochure: Parking Systems Contact us for more information: sales@holman.com.au |
